How to Clean Your Somerset Patriots Shaker Bottle

Quick Answer

Clean your Somerset Patriots 27oz Black ICON Shaker Bottle after every use with warm soapy water and a bottle brush to prevent residue buildup and odors.

Step-by-Step Cleaning Guide

1. Rinse Immediately After Use: As soon as you finish your drink, rinse the bottle with warm water. Swish the water around to remove loose residue. This prevents protein or powder from drying and sticking to the walls. Don't let the bottle sit unrinsed for more than 30 minutes—dried residue is much harder to remove.
2. Wash with Warm Soapy Water and a Bottle Brush: Fill the bottle with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap. Use a dedicated bottle brush to scrub the inside walls, bottom, and especially the threads where the lid screws on. Pay extra attention to the lid's seal and spout area. A sponge alone can't reach the bottom corners. A bottle brush is essential for thorough cleaning.
3. Rinse and Air Dry Completely: Rinse the bottle and lid thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue. Place the bottle upside down on a drying rack or dishtowel with the lid off. Let it air dry completely before reassembling. Storing the bottle with the lid on while still damp creates a breeding ground for mold. Always dry separately.
