NY Black Yankees Pennant Display Tips

Quick Answer

Use adhesive strips or a lightweight rod to hang your Somerset Patriots NY Black Yankees large pennant without damaging the fabric or edges.

How to Display Your NY Black Yankees Pennant

1. Choose a spot away from direct sunlight: UV rays can fade the black and white design over time. Pick a wall that doesn't get strong afternoon sun, or use UV-protective glass if framing. Avoid windows with direct light exposure.
2. Use removable adhesive strips for a no-damage hang: Apply two or three small adhesive strips (like Command strips) to the back of the pennant near the top edge. Press firmly against a clean, dry wall. This keeps the pennant flat without poking holes. Test the adhesive on a small hidden corner first to ensure it doesn't lift the felt.
3. Insert a lightweight rod for extra support: Slide a thin wooden dowel or plastic rod through the sleeve at the top of the pennant (if it has one). Attach small hooks or nails to the wall and rest the rod on them. This distributes weight evenly and keeps the top edge straight. If your pennant lacks a sleeve, use binder clips along the top edge to grip the rod.
4. Avoid folding or creasing the felt: When not displayed, roll the pennant loosely with the design facing outward. Store it in a dry, cool place inside a tube or wrapped in acid-free tissue paper. Never store folded for long periods — creases become permanent in felt material.
