Compare the Somerset Patriots NY Black Yankees silicone pint glass and decal pack on price, durability, and use cases to decide which fan gear fits your game-day routine.
Quick answer
Choose the silicone pint glass if you want a reusable, game-day drinkware piece that shows team spirit at home or tailgates. Choose the decal pack if you prefer a low-cost way to add Black Yankees branding to cars, laptops, or coolers.
Price and value: one-time drinkware vs multi-surface decals
At $13.59 (compared to $19.99), the silicone pint glass is a single reusable item that replaces disposable cups at gatherings. The decal pack at $5.55 (compared to $7.50) offers a 5.5 x 7.5 inch decal that can go on any flat surface, giving you more placement options for less money. Neither price includes personalization, and the catalog does not list the number of decals per pack beyond the single stated size.
Durability and care: silicone flexibility vs decal adhesion
The pint glass is made of flexible silicone for a comfortable, durable grip, which makes it less likely to shatter if dropped. The decal is a one-time application; once stuck to a surface, it may not be repositionable without damage. The catalog does not specify care instructions for either item, so check the packaging for cleaning guidance.
Where each item works best
The pint glass suits indoor and outdoor drinking occasions, from watching the game at home to tailgating. The decal pack works on car windows, laptops, coolers, or any flat surface, but it is not intended for fabrics or curved, textured areas. If you want fan gear that moves with you, the decal is more versatile; if you want something you can hold and use repeatedly, the glass is the better fit.
Trade-offs to weigh
- Reusability: The pint glass can be used game after game; the decal is a one-time application that stays on the surface once applied. If you want gear that lasts through many seasons, the glass is the more durable choice.
- Placement flexibility: The decal can go on cars, laptops, coolers, or any flat surface, while the glass is limited to drinking use. Choose the decal if you want to show team spirit in multiple locations.
- Care and maintenance: Silicone may require hand washing to preserve its flexibility, and decals need careful surface preparation for best adhesion. The catalog does not provide specific care instructions, so follow the packaging. Neither item is maintenance-free; factor in cleaning and application time.
