Compare the two Somerset Patriots infant Velcro bibs, understand the sizing and trim differences, and pick the right one for your baby fan.
Quick answer
Choose the Noiseless Trim Velcro Bib if you want the classic solid look and the lowest current price; choose the Fripp Granite Heather Black Trim bib if you prefer a heathered, two-tone style. Both are 5.5 oz. ring spun cotton jersey with Velcro closure, so the decision comes down to trim style and price.
What the two bibs share and where they differ
Both bibs are made from 5.5 oz. 100% ring spun cotton jersey with contrast self-fabric binding and a Velcro closure. That means the same soft hand feel, the same easy on-and-off fastening, and the same care routine. The difference is purely visual: the Noiseless Trim bib has a clean, solid-body look, while the Fripp Granite Heather bib uses a heathered granite body with black trim for a sportier, textured appearance.
Because the fabric weight and closure are identical, you are not trading durability or convenience for style. Pick the one that matches your baby's existing Patriots wardrobe or the game-day outfit you have in mind.
Why trim style matters more than you think
A bib sits right under a baby's chin and is one of the most visible pieces in photos. A solid noiseless trim reads clean and neutral, so it layers easily over any Patriots tee or onesie. The granite heather with black trim adds contrast and hides mild staining better between washes, which matters during teething and feeding months.
Neither bib is marketed as waterproof or stain-resistant, so plan on normal cotton care: machine wash and lay flat or tumble low. If you need a bib for heavy drool or meals, cotton jersey will absorb but not block moisture completely.
Sizing reality for infant bibs
The catalog lists Size and Color as available options, but it does not publish a measurement chart for either bib. That is a real limitation: you cannot compare exact neck openings or drop lengths from the product page alone. Use the size options as a starting point and expect a Velcro closure to give you some adjustability around the neck.
If your baby is between sizes, size up rather than down. A slightly larger bib stays useful longer and the Velcro can be fastened tighter, while a too-small bib will gap at the neck and miss spills.
Decision rules for picking your Patriots infant bib
- If you want the lowest current price: The Fripp Granite Heather Black Trim bib is listed at USD 12.79, compared with USD 14.19 for the Noiseless Trim bib. Both are marked down from a USD 19.99 comparison price. Check the size and color options first, since price can vary by selection.
- If you want the cleanest, most versatile look: Choose the Noiseless Trim Velcro Bib. Its solid body and contrast binding read as a classic team bib and pair easily with any Patriots tee or onesie.
- If your baby is a heavy drooler or messy eater: Choose the Fripp Granite Heather bib. The heathered granite body and black trim visually mask light stains better than a solid light-colored bib, though neither bib is waterproof. Buy two so one is always clean during teething weeks.
- If you are unsure about size: The catalog does not publish a bib measurement chart, so use the available size options and size up when your baby is between sizes. The Velcro closure lets you tighten the neck fit.
